Some time ago I’ve started a get-together-group called “PAPER, PENCIL AND COFFEE – The three traditional animation tools” (PPC in short) for mainly animation students at my university. The idea behind it is to give a platform for topics and interests that don’t fit into the regular training programme. But what we actually should be talking about, sharing and encouraging each other in are the things we are interested in, things we’re fascinated in or puzzled by, things we’re really motivated for knowing more about. And if we already know a lot about something, why not share that knowledge with your fellow students? This way we can all profit from the time and energy we’ve put into such unpopular tasks such as written theses. I thought it might also develop into a podcast group, but this hasn’t happened… yet!
